Training course on the basics of industrial image processing with GigE Vision. Covers the control protocol (GVCP) and stream protocol (GVSP), camera configuration using GenICam, and an introduction to image processing with OpenCV – with a practical focus for use in machine vision projects.

Target audience
Developers and users who wish to expand their expertise in industrial image processing, machine vision and Ethernet camera systems. A good knowledge of C/C++ on Windows is required.

- Fundamentals of Industrial Ethernet and an introduction to GigE Vision
- Structure of the GigE Vision stack and GigE Vision Master
- Ethernet frame structure and analysis with Wireshark
- GigE-Vision Control Protocol (GVCP), including function groups and registers
- GigE-Vision Stream Protocol (GVSP)
- Image processing: Packet and block management, timing, image formats
- Image processing with OpenCV
