Target audience
Software developers, commissioning engineers, automation engineers, service technicians and technical project managers. Prior knowledge of automation or network technology is an advantage but not a prerequisite.

- Structure of Ethernet frames and datagrams
- Register and EEPROM interfaces, state management
- Logical and physical addressing
- Sync and FMMU management
- Mailbox communication, CoE and PDO mapping
- Distributed clocks and determinism
- Error management and fault diagnosis
- ESI configuration files
- EtherCAT Safety
- Practical exercises with real EtherCAT hardware
- Diagnosis and analysis of data traffic with Wireshark
